NetCheck is a diagnostic application for the AppleTalk network. Use NetCheck to test the whole network when it’s first set up or to track down a problem when two devices aren’t communicating.
Here’s how it works. NetCheck asks you to assign a name to the Macintosh on which it’s running. It checks the AppleTalk connection of that Macintosh and lists the names of all shared devices, such as the LaserWriter, and of all other Macintoshes running NetCheck.
